Christine and Ryan are two kind souls madly in love! We met over delicious local Colorado beers and got to know each other. They have a pretty special and unique love story! Before we get into the glory of their Echo Lake Park engagement session, let’s chat about them first! They met in college and had some mutual friends. Eventually they started thinking there might be some romantic sparks between them. So they went to a winter formal together, had a great time and the relationship blossomed from there!
A few glorious years later, Ryan proposed and Christine said yes! Soon after, Christine moved to Vermont to get her PhD. Have I mentioned that she is a chemist? I find that very fascinating as I’ve never met any chemists before in my life! Such an amazing career. So the plan was for Ryan to move to Vermont too and get an engineering job there, be engaged and get married a year or so later. However, they didn’t realize that the new town she was in was very small. And there wasn’t much opportunity for finding Ryan a good job. So he stayed put and they continued their engagement for 5 years, long distance!
I’ve done a long distance relationship before, and let me tell you, it is NOT easy. And ya know what else isn’t easy? Engagement! So I highly admire these two for enduring that long season. Because that’s insanely impressive! I have no doubt their marriage is already off to a great start!
Echo Lake Park Engagement Session
Christine and Ryan wanted a Colorado winter engagement shoot. We opted for an Echo Lake Park engagement session and it was absolutely perfect! The lake was frozen over, therefore there was beautiful snow all over the ground. And also the mountains in the background were snow capped! It was such a dreamy location for a winter engagement session in Colorado!
These two are getting married this spring at one of my favorite mountain venues, Stone Mountain Lodge in Lyons. I truly cannot wait to capture more magic for you two!
For now, enjoy my faves from their gorgeous winter Echo Lake Park engagement session!
