Ok, I just want to chat with you about one of my new all time favorite wedding venues in Colorado. It’s the Strawberry Creek Ranch wedding venue in Granby! I had the opportunity of shooting a few times at this venue this season. And let me tell you, it is an absolute dream! It isn’t too far out of town, and it feels completely and perfectly secluded and surrounded by beautiful mountains. The ceremony site is a stunner overlooking the creek and with the mountains as the perfect backdrop. Not to mention, the sunset here is always insanely epic! The colors are unreal, and they reflect in the pond which makes for some incredible portraits!

Holly was such a trooper. It was hot, and she rocked a long sleeved thick lace gown all day! She seriously looked like a bridal goddess with hair stunning hair, cathedral veil and her gown. I am a sucker for long sleeve wedding dresses! Seriously I am obsessed with them. The Strawberry Creek Ranch wedding venue tends to attract pretty laid back couples with its easy going mountain vibe. We had such a lovely time with these two and their fabulous wedding party!

If you know Gina and Clark and you don’t absolutely adore them, something may be a little wrong with you. Just sayin. These humans are two of the best people I’ve ever met. Not to mention that they are hilarious, goofy, kind, thoughtful, avid winkers/pointers, intentional, fun, positive, pancake experts, loving, owners of multiple sets of matching T’s, great dog parents, their zeal and passion for life is contagious. Let’s be honest I could go on for days! I loved Gina immediately upon our first email exchange this summer. Then when I met this duo in person for coffee, our love blossomed. By the end of our meeting Gina said she needed me at their Wedgewood Boulder Creek wedding no matter what, and I 100 percent agreed. It was true love and had to happen!!

You may remember their absolutely epic RMNP Trail Ridge Road engagement photos we did just a few months back! I wasn’t sure if we could top those, but then this wedding. Ahhh. It was just full of absolute joy, excitement, emotion, happy tears, hugs, thoughtful words, and epic dance moves! Getting married outdoors at the end of October in Colorado is a risk. But the weather was absolute perfection! Their Wedgewood Boulder Creek wedding ceremony was held down by the creek. I love love this choice!! It is like a charming magical fairyland down there, twinkle lights and all. Seriously too good.

So I had about the hardest time ever narrowing down photos for this post because there are approximately 4 million great ones! But that’s just what happens when two incredible beautiful people marry each other and are so easy to celebrate. Adventurous, laid back, outdoorsy, fun, hardcore on a dance floor, dodgeball all stars, enjoyers of good beer. Whammy expert and hashtag squad member. These are a few words I would use to describe what is the magic of Kayla and Barry. If you recall from their Brainard Lake engagement photos, I met these two through an awesome mutual friend. But we really got to know each other through the great American sport of dodgeball. Yes, you read that correctly. And yes, it is way more intense than you would think. But anyway! I was stoked to hear that these two were having a Golden Hotel wedding!

I love the town of Golden, and always try to visit as much as possible. It’s SO cute! The Golden Hotel wedding ceremony location is outside of the venue, right along Clear Creek. It’s the perfect beautiful little spot to say I do!

Kayla and Barry chose the absolute perfect day for their fall October wedding. Clear Creek History Park had beautiful yellow aspens everywhere, and we took a lot of photos down near the creek. A few days before the wedding it was freezing cold, and the day after it we got a couple inches of snow! But their wedding day was perfectly sunny and actually a little hot! Kayla and Barry told me they went back to the creek 2 days after their Golden Hotel wedding, and all those beautiful yellow fall leaves were gone because of the snow! Couldn’t have timed that any better!
